The Pros and Cons of Living in a Toy Hauler Full-Time

If you buy a nice toy hauler, it can be pleasant to spend some of your time in it. Would you want to live there full-time, though? Some people do, and they like it very much. However, there are also some potential drawbacks that are worth considering.

Let us talk about some of the positives and negatives of living full-time in a toy hauler right now.

You Can Pick Up and Move Whenever You Like

Before you look at the Heartland Cyclone 4006 or one of the nicer toy haulers on the market, you should weigh the pros and cons of living on one full-time. On the positive side, if you live in a toy hauler, you can pick up and move if you feel a bout of wanderlust coming.

You might be someone who likes to move whenever this feeling gets into you. Since a toy hauler is portable, you can pick up stakes and head somewhere else if you ever feel restless.

You Can Live in Different Parts of the Country

Because of the toy hauler’s portability, you can also live in many different parts of the country. It can make you feel patriotic to say that you have lived in many different states. You can check out the South, the Midwest, or anywhere else that appeals.

By living in various regions and seeing what the people are like there, you can become a more well-rounded person. You can also make new friends wherever you go if you are a friendly individual.

They Can Be Spacious, But It’s Still Not Like Living in a House

Those are the positives, but there are undeniably some negatives, too. Probably the most significant one is that while a toy hauler can be pretty spacious, there is still not much space you can have in one.

If you want to live a simple life where you do not have very many physical possessions, you can do that in a toy hauler. If you ever get to a point where you want more room, though, you may have to leave the lifestyle behind and buy a real house. There are only so many ways you can arrange the furniture in a toy hauler to make it appear larger than it really is.

You Only Get a Limited Amount of Privacy

You also only get a limited amount of privacy if you live in a toy hauler. If you reside with a significant other or spouse, and you also have kids, you will probably have a hard time getting some alone time for just the two of you. The children will always be close by.

If you and someone in the family are not getting along, if you have a house, you can at least stay away from each other till you both calm down. That’s almost impossible with a toy hauler. Its diminutive size means you can only create so much difference from the person with whom you are having a disagreement.
