These sausage stuffed mushrooms made with Odom’s Tennessee Pride Mild Country Sausage are not only delicious and easy to make, but they are also guaranteed to please any crowd! Odom’s Tennessee Pride Country Sausage has flavorful varieties your family will love.
Not Your Typical Sausage Dish
Odom’s Tennessee Pride Country Sausage is available at your local Walmart. So head on over to your local Walmart to pick up this along with all of the other ingredients for this amazingly easy dish.
Odom’s Tennessee Pride Country Sausage can be used in many ways, from traditional breakfast dishes to unique appetizers, lunches and dinners.
Typically when someone things about ground sausage, things such as gravy and breakfast pop to mind. Personally though, I like to cook a little bit out of the box. So instead of breakfast, I wanted to find a way to use sausage to create a delicious appetizer perfect for parties. While you may not think that mild sausage, mushrooms, green onions, panko bread crumbs, mascarpone and Parmesan cheese would go together… You would be oh so wrong because when combined together these ingredients make one delicious dish of sausage stuffed mushrooms.
Make It Easy With Walmart Grocery Pickup
If you really want to make your life just a little easier, you can order your groceries and pick them up at Walmart! I have been using the grocery pickup for some time now, and I am obsessed. I don’t have to get my kids out of the car, and I get everything I need without the extra last minute purchases.
All you do is place your order on either your computer or the Walmart Grocery App. Pick your time slot, and pull up to one of the designated parking spots to have your groceries delivered right to your car!
Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
If you are ready to recreate this dish, you are going to need the following ingredients:
- 16 oz Portobello Mushrooms
- 1 Lb Odom’s Tennessee Pride Mild Country Sausage
- 3-4 Green Onions
- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 5 Oz Mascarpone Cheese
- 1/4 Cup Shredded Parmesan
Prep
Start by preheating your oven to 400°.
While the oven is heating up, cook your sausage until it is browned throughout.
Prep your mushrooms by removing the stems, and setting the mushroom caps to the side. I also used two large portobello caps with mine. If you want to use these, you can just remove the stems and put the large caps to the side as well.
Dice your stems and add them into the pan with the fully cooked sausage.
Let the stems cook for about three minutes, then mix in your garlic and diced green onions ( white and green parts).
Cook down another three minutes before adding in your Panko Bread Crumbs.
Once the bread crumbs are well mixed in, mix in your mascarpone cheese. Continue to mix until all of the cheese is melted in well.
Remove from heat and mix in the Parmesan cheese.
Generously stuff all of your mushroom caps and line them in an oven safe dish. I like to have them close enough that they are touching and not falling over, so don’t use too large of a pan. Then just pop them in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the mushrooms are soft and the filling is a nice golden brown.
Once they are done, serve them up and enjoy!
